Declan's Zoo Day

Yesterday we took Declan to the zoo. Although it was the first time that he really actively looked at the animals, he was still more interested in the bushes than the monkeys though (I suppose that Capuchin monkeys are not all that interesting anyways). We did enjoy watching the Squirrel Monkeys in the Tiny Tot Nature Spot, and Declan sat in the sloth.

Declan also enjoyed playing in the little boat on the dock in the KTTNS Campground area. He was absolutely mesmerized by the Koi fish swimming in the water below.

More photos from the Campground area...they have a hollowed out log with a make-believe raccoon in it. Declan looked too cute sitting inside. :D

I think that Declan's favorite part of the whole day was wading in the stream at the Campground...he loves swimming, baths, and anything water related!

We finished up our play in the Discovery House, where we checked out those adorable prairie dogs.

And speaking of adorable...I sat Declan in the giant magnifying glass, but the flash on the camera turns the background black. Daddy says they look like glamour shots, hehe!

Declan also loves watching fish. This is in front of where the Discovery House pond meets the window inside the pond room. The fish are alligator gar and bass, I think.

And, finally, one of the Nile crocodiles from Africa LIVE!

We are very excited about trying out one of the zoo's newest programs, Stroller Safari. I will definitely post some pictures!
